Luxury Designhotel Wiesergut – a masterpiece of design and architecture

The Designhotel Wiesergut is the perfect place to experience “casual luxury” at its finest. The hotel is beautifully set within the stunning Alpine panorama, in Hinterglemm Austria, and the modern, minimalist design fits perfectly into the natural surroundings. The architecture blends clean lines, natural materials like wood and stone, and spacious, light-filled rooms to create a calm, harmonious atmosphere. It truly feels like a home in the middle of nature.

Exclusive rooms and suites: Luxury for the whole family or relaxing couple time

Our suite wasn’t just beautiful, it was also perfect for our family. It was spacious enough for all of us to feel comfortable, yet cozy. The attention to detail in the design was evident in every corner from the high-end materials to modern amenities like a private Jacuzzi and sauna. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day full of adventures in the mountains, and honestly, I haven’t slept that well in a long time!

Sidenote: Even if we enjoyed it as a family, I must admit, that it’s definitley not a Kinderhotel. It’s for everyone who enjoys comfort and luxurious details, no matter if with our without kids.

Sustainability and nature connection: A place in tune with the environment

What truly impressed me was the Wiesergut’s commitment to sustainability. Here, they not only focus on guest comfort but also on respecting the environment. The hotel is built with eco-friendly materials, and you can feel the connection to the surrounding nature. The restaurant uses many local, organic ingredients, which adds even more depth and authenticity to every meal and we absolutely enjoyed every bite!

Wellness and relaxation at luxury Designhotel Wiesergut

After a busy day in the mountains, there’s nothing better than relaxing at the Designhotel Wiesergut Spa. We were able to all unwind together: saunas, steam baths, and the outdoor pool with views of the Alps were the perfect way to relax. It was the ideal end to a perfect day.

Culinary experience: A delight for food lovers

The restaurant at Wiesergut is a true gem for food lovers. We were spoiled with modern, delicious dishes that combine traditional Austrian cuisine with international influences. What stood out for us was the focus on regional ingredients. You could taste the freshness and authenticity in every dish. It wasn’t just a meal, it was an experience. Breakfast was individually served instead of a buffet, which made it feel extra special. We were delighted with the little culinary touches and the attention to detail. And I must mention, the coffee was truly excellent!

Activities for every adventure

Whether winter or summer, Wiesergut is the perfect base for anyone who loves the outdoors. In winter, you can head straight out to explore the Saalbach-Hinterglemm ski resort, one of Austria’s largest ski areas. In summer, there were countless hiking and mountain biking trails, perfect for unforgettable family adventures.

A hotel for everyone

Despite the hotel’s luxurious atmosphere, Wiesergut made us feel incredibly welcome as a family. The kids had the freedom to explore the gardens and satisfy their curiosity and need for adventure, while we adults could relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings. The staff was extremely attentive and gave the children the attention they needed. There were even special kids’ menus, which made mealtime much easier. The fact that the cable cars were within walking distance was also a huge bonus for us.

The Designhotel Wiesergut is more than just a hotel to us – it’s a place we’ll want to return to again and again. The perfect blend of luxury, nature, and design made our family trip truly unforgettable. Whether in the mountains, relaxing at the spa, or enjoying a delicious meal, we felt completely at ease.

A place we’ll always return to

Our stay at the Designhotel Wiesergut was an unforgettable experience for me and my two children. It’s a place where we weren’t just guests, but felt truly welcomed as part of a warm, family atmosphere. We were lucky enough to be hosted by a real family-run business, which made the stay even more personal and special. The extraordinary food was a highlight, because every meal was a treat, prepared with love and passion. The hotel’s location, right by the lift, is perfect in both summer and winter, it’s ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy nature all year round.

I keep imagining the perfect romantic breakfast outside, where the soft sunlight creates the ideal setting for a peaceful and intimate family moment to start the day right.

The happiest version of myself at luxury Designhotel Wiesergut.

These romantic houses directly on the beach aren’t for everyone! You have to check very well if it’s kids friendly, because some of the beach houses on the coast of the Netherlands have very dangerous ladders to a second floor. It’s always and I mean always(!) sandy, you live on the beach. They aren’t luxurious, but comfy and well organized. If you can’t walk, they aren’t made for you. There is a luggage service, but when you like to visit one of the restaurants you have to walk on the sandy beach to get to a proper way.
We love them and check always longer off season weekends to book a stay.
The only 5* hotel in this part of Germany that offers it all - luxurious spa, kids’ activities, world-class dining, and breathtaking nature and a golf club nearby.

The hotel offers various pool options and a stunning spa experience.

The perfect family getaway only one hour from Cologne. It’s often fully booked, so have an eye open for your spot.
